Miyashita Sake Brewery’s wins 2nd place in the gold grade in the Sake Competition 2017

In the Sake Competition 2017,  Miyashita Sake Brewery’s “Junmai-Daiginjo Kiwami Hijiri Tenkano Shisei ” was awarded 2nd place in the gold grade in the super premium class, and “Kiwami Hijiri Daiginjo” was awarded 8th place in the gold grade in the Ginjo class.

Sake Competition 2017 had 1730 entries from 453 different breweries, which is the largest number of entries for any sake competition in the world.

There are six categories: Junmai, Junmai Ginjo, Junmai Daiginjo, Ginjo, Super Premium, Sparkling, and Overseas entries. The top ten sakes are awarded the gold grade, with the remainder of the top 10% awarded the silver grade in each category.
